Chicken Cordon Bleu in Sauce


1 cup flour
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. black pepper
1/2 tsp. paprika
2 eggs, beaten
1/3 cup milk
1 cup bread crumbs
1/4 cup olive oil
1 (10.75oz.) cream of mushroom soup
1/2 lb. fresh mushrooms, sliced
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1/4 tsp. onion powder
1/4 cup white wine
1/2 cup sour cream




1. Preheat oven to 350°.
2. Pour flour in a shallow dish and mix in salt, pepper and paprika.
3. In a separate bowl, beat together eggs and milk.
4. Pour bread crumbs on a plate.
5. Dip chicken cordon bleu in flour, then egg mixture, then bread crumbs.
6. Heat oil in a large skillet and fry chicken until golden brown; set aside.
7. In a large bowl, combine soup, mushrooms, garlic and onion powder, wine and sour cream.
8. Place browned chicken in a baking dish and pour sauce mixture over chicken.
9. Bake in preheated oven for 20 minutes.

*Chicken should reach an internal temperature of 165° for food safety.
